Voting Question: What should I take into consideration when looking for a car?
I got into an accident last year that totaled the car my parents gave me for college. Now I'm 20, I'm working again and am terrible with saving but I have a little over a thousand saved up. I was looking on ebay motors and classifieds for a car under $3000 that I can get around the time of my birthday(end of july) before the fall semester starts. My credit isn't good at all right now, and I know insurance and maintenance is something I will have to consider as well. I found a 2003 accord at a dealership for $8000 that I could finance if I have to. I would prefer to pay cash with the current job market and my current experience, but if there is no alternative for a decent car I would finance. I have been thinking about going to auto auctions as well, but I would like some opinions on what I should do given the information I gave, thanks!
