Resolved Question: What are some issues with buying a car with a salvage title?
I'm not buying I'm selling but want to know what, besides the title, would keep someone from buying the car. It's a 96 Cavalier with 84k miles on a rebuilt motor. It looks really nice and runs great, but it was rear ended. The damage isn't so bad to the trunk, but the trunk rim was bent so the insurance company totaled the car. Part of the settlement was a salvage title but I can keep the car. I might drive it, I might sell it as a point A to point B car for $1,000 OBO. What does anybody think?

Resolved Question: How is AIDS funding different than the stimulus package. In both cases, people made bad decisions.?
AIG and GM (Government Motors) ran their businesses badly and are looking to government to bail them out. They want guys like me who make less than 100k a year to provide them salaries of 500m. NO! How is that different than homosexual promiscuity spreading AIDS. Nobody knows when an auto accident will happen, so we buy insurance just in case. Promiscuous homosexuals are pretty certain they'll eventually get the gift that keeps on giving. Perhaps they should buy insurance before they make that DECISION. If no insurer will offer AIDS coverage, perhaps the risk isn't worth it. BUT WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THEIR BAD JUDGMENT THROUGH HIGHER TAXES? Please tell me. tonalc2: And why did all these innocent people contract AIDS? BECAUSE IT WAS SPREAD THROUGHOUT SOCIETY BY HOMOSEXUALS. Why aren't homosexuals with AIDS quarantined? Besides, homosexuals constitute the vast majority of AIDS victims. Children, health workers and other 'innocents' constitute less than 1%.

Resolved Question: All of the politicians seem to be up in arms with the AIG bonuses?
but why don't they show the same "outrage" with the $3 billion in bonuses at Morgan Stanley — which took in $10 billion in TARP money or the $3.6 billion in bonuses paid by Merrill Lynch, prior to being taken over by Bank of America, which took in $45 billion in TARP money? Most of the top 10 recipients of taxpayer money from the TARP program refused to comment on how much bonus cash they doled out to employees. Top 10 TARP Recipients so far: Citigroup: $45 billion Bank of America (including Merrill Lynch) $45 billion AIGInsurance Corp. $40 billion AIG (second round)Insurance Corp $30 billion (AIGInsurance Corp. $180 billion total) JPMorgan ChaseBank $25 billion Wells FargoBank $25 billion General Motors $14 billion Morgan Stanley $10 billion Goldman Sachs $10 billion PNC Financial Services $7.579 billion U.S. Bancorp $6.599 billion Call your representatives now and demand to know why they are letting this go on. And yes, the program was started last year. The major architect? Tim Geither when he was with the NY Federal Reserve and is now the Treasury Secretary. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090320/pl_politico/20290
